Frequently Asked Questions

How does the ANPR work?

Automatic Number Plate Recognition cameras work by capturing the number plate details from every vehicle that drives in and out of our car park and drop-off point. This allows us to accurately know your arrival and departure time in the car park. There will be no barriers in place, so no more queuing to leave.

The machine doesn’t work.

Please contact our Centre Management Team: 01707 320026 and one of our customer service team will be able to assist.

Motorcycles are required to pay for parking at The Howard Centre. Motorcycle Parking is located on the 1st floor opposite the Disabled Bays.

Will I still be able to park in one of the centre’s loading bays or the Drop-off Point?

Due to safety reasons, our loading bays are for deliveries only. Unauthorised vehicles parking in our loading areas will receive a parking ticket.

There is also a max stay of 30 minutes in our Drop-off Point, any vehicles in the Drop-off Point after 30 minutes will automatically receive a parking ticket.

Going forward this area will be patrolled by Euro Car Parks to ensure that these bays are available for those who need them the most. If you do have a blue badge, please remember to display it.
