Anne started work at Hyde Valley residential care home for the elderly in WGC in 1994 and she became deputy manager at the home before retiring seven years ago. Despite being retired, Anne still continues to work one day a week even though the home has relocated.
She also volunteers at Our Lady School in WGC once a week, helping children learn to read. Anne helps children prepare for their first communion.
Anne is a long-serving member and past chairwoman of the Catholic Women’s League, which raises fund for worthy causes and provides volunteers to help local organisations. She is also a dementia champion and trainer for Dementia Friends.
