Welwyn Garden City Library

WGC Library will move to the Howard Centre on Monday November 21st. The Library will offer a selection of fiction, non fiction, large print, talking books, DVD's, Cd's and childrens book. It will have six PCs, including a 30 minute non bookable computer, and public wi-fi facilities. You can find them on the first floor next to Starbucks.

Introducing The Bookshop, Welwyn Garden City

The Bookshop, Welwyn Garden City opened on the first floor of the Howard Centre on Thursday 13th October. The Bookshop, Welwyn Garden City is a brand new concept in bookselling, selling every single book at a discounted price, most discounted up to 50% off the publisher's recommended price. The shop stocks over 20,000 new and backlist titles, and can place orders (for delivery with 24 hours) for any one of over 50,000 titles. The store also sells and accepts Book Tokens.

Lift Maintenance

Following completion of major repairs to one of the passenger lifts serving the centre car park and mall areas, similar work to be carried out on the other lift in this area will take place from Monday 7th November.

The component parts for this work are already manufactured and the work will take approximately five to seven days to complete. We apologise in advance for any inconvienance caused.
