Parking
The Howard Centre has a secure multi-storey parking facility provided over 4 split levels which is located at the southern end of the centre which can hold up to 725 vehicles. Entry to the car park is from 4am until 8pm Monday to Saturday and from 6am until 8pm on Sundays. Exit is possible after this time but it is not something we encourage, as we have signs stating no over night parking, this is because we have to leave all eight levels lit until the last car has gone.
Disabled car parking spaces are available on the first level. Lifts are available from all car park levels to the mall. Our security control room is manned 24 hours a day and a CCTV camera system is in operation on the mall and in the car park. Help points are on level 7, 5 and 3 and all pay stations and barrier points.
The car park charges are as listed below:-
0 to 2 hours £1.00 Please note this charge will increase to £1.20 as from 2nd April
2 – 3 hours £2.20
3 – 4 hours £3.30
4-5 hours £4.50
Over 5 hours £9.00
Lost tickets £9.00
Sundays £1.00 per visit
Bank Holidays FREE (please note you will still need to take a ticket and get it validated at the paystation before leaving the car park). Please note as from 2nd April Bank Holidays will be £1.00 per visit.
Tickets must be validated at one of our car park pay machines. You can find these opposite Shopmobility on the first floor, and near the Lottery Kiosk on the ground floor.
Please note: The access ramp to the car park will not accept heights over 6ft 6 ins (2 metres).
The Howard Centre's car park is off Church Road and the Hunters Bridge Car Park is operated by the local council.
The Howard Centre is a Park Mark™ Safer Parking Award Holders. Using a car park which is a Park Mark™ Safer Parking Award Holder means that the area has been vetted by the Police and has measures in place in order to create a safe environment.
